Q&A | How Do I Deal With Rapture Haters?
"Scottie, I have a friend wanting to know if your site is pre-trib. I told her I thought so. She is blasting me. I just had someone ask me and I am pre-trib totally and thinking Sept. is going to be exciting! Anyway, it led to a huge debate. Geez. I hate debates! I have a Christian group and had posted something of yours in it and it went haywire! Guess that is to be expected from time to time! But I held my ground. Have to for Yeshua! It really got ugly that night. People don't realize how real Satan actually is and what he is doing now on the face of this earth! How one can interpret that there is no Rapture is unbelievable to me. Oh, that night I was called the whore of Babylon and all kinds of really ugly things. I just keep them lifted up in prayer that their eyes be opened to the truth. Can you answer this for me?"
Daisy, Yes. The pre-Tribulation Rapture is a fact of YHWH's plan which is revealed in Scripture upon contextual study. Thank you for your question.
There are those out there who have an unclear interpretation of Scripture and they love to fight about this topic. Satan HATES that he will not have access to the true bride of Messiah when his short time comes. He is the Father of Lies and his demons lash out through the ones he has deceived. When people look for a fight about our blessed hope, they are showing their true colors. They are without faith, in the flesh and believe their works will be applicable to their salvation.
If Satan hates the pre-tribulation rapture so much you can be sure he is influencing people in like manner and they hate it also. Some of these wolves parade in sheep's clothing. Be warned.
Have you heard this nonsense before? "There is no such thing as the rapture! The word is not in the bible!"
and "Jesus died for us so we must die for Jesus!"
or "What makes you think you're so special to be taken out of here when so many others have died for their faith?"
Firstly, Scripture was not penned in English. Go back to the Greek and the original Aramaic word "netchatef" is translated "harpazo". When translated into Latin it became "rapio" which was then used in English as "rapture". It is now simply the word we use to describe Paul's "caught away" or "caught up" in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. There's your "rapture" in the Bible.
We have to die for Jesus? Sorry, this is not a tit-for-tat. He did it all. And why are we so special? It is not about "special". It is about what must happen in a pre-determined time-line. However, we are the bride of the Son of Almighty YHWH and some of us will be alive when He comes for us. Paul said so in YHWH's Word (1 Corinthians 15:51, 1 Thessalonians 4:17). That's why.
Yes, many people have been and continue to be killed because of their faith in the true Messiah, but that has nothing to do with a very clear seven year time period called "Daniel's 70th week" which is clearly appointed to the Jews exclusively. Read Daniel 9:24 again.
The messenger Gabriel to Daniel:
Seventy weeks are decreed on your people (Daniel's people - the Israelites) and on your qodesh (holy) city, to finish disobedience, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most qodesh.
Sixty nine weeks (shemitah cycles) were fulfilled (to the day) when Yahshua rode into Jerusalem on a donkey 4 days before He was cut off (Daniel 9:26) as the Passover Lamb of YHWH.
There is one more week of years left (one shemitah cycle) for all to be fulfilled before Yahshua reigns for 1000 years on Earth. The fulfilled sixty nine weeks were without a church and the seventieth week will follow suit
. That seventieth week is the Tribulation period. At the end of that final week, Yahshua returns with His bride (Revelation 19:14) to throw the Antichrist and the False Prophet into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 19:20) and to bind Satan in the Bottomless Pit for 1000 years (Revelation 20:2-3).
Again, notice that Gabriel prophesied that these seventy weeks are for Daniel's people, not the church - last week included. It is a specific time for them to realize who the true Messiah is. The church already knows and accepts Him and is therefore not appointed to the Father's wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10 and 5:9). Orthodox Jews however, still do not accept the One they have pierced (Zechariah 12:10) as the Messiah. His Father intends to correct them.
This final shemitah cycle is also called the time of Jacob's trouble (Jeremiah 30:7). Jacob is a reference to the Jews again. Not the church. These prophecies do not include the church. The church was not revealed to the prophets. If it were, Satan would have found out about it in advance and might have reasoned the objective of the Messiah at His first coming. Keep it in context.
Now about those haters ...
My recommendation when a fight presents itself: Back out peaceably or just block and delete. You can pray for their eyes to be opened but changing their mind is not your responsibility. You are only responsible for yourself and the truth. It is the Ruah haQodesh's (Holy Spirit's) job to call people to the truth whom YHWH calls. If they are not looking for the truth it is because the Truth is not in them and/or they are not being called into the Truth. If they are not truly seeking, they will not truly find. You will only waste your time trying to show it to them. And when the name-calling begins, just get out. Been there, done that.
Now if you want to know the facts about why the true church is not appointed to YHWH's wrath,
here is a good place to start. Yes, the rapture is clearly appointed to occur before Daniel's 70th week. Understanding YHWH's Appointments is the key to understanding His calendar of events. Deeper studies are linked.
