Over the years, many have asked how the name Eternal Rhythm Flow came about and why I chose it for the name of this ministry. The simple answer is that I did not choose it for a ministry-name. The name is actually a YouTube handle ... here’s the breakdown:
Eternal: I am an eternal being, saved by the precious blood of my Messiah!
Rhythm: I am a musician and grew up in the church as a drummer on many worship teams.
Flow: Well, let the eternal rhythms flow, man!
The idea for the name is that I plan to be a musician throughout eternity, worshiping my beautiful Savior and His Father.
At first, I was simply using the Eternal Rhythm Flow channel to upload videos of myself playing and singing worship music on acoustic guitar. In 2010, I started adding videos about the state of the world as I saw it - political, religious, economic and otherwise - which eventually dovetailed into my teaching the End Time events of Bible prophecy.
I have been studying the fascinating topic of biblical prophecy since 1983 and, to me, it is obvious that we are living in the Last Days - written of thousands of years ago. I figured I should tell someone ... anyone ... everyone ... I never knew so many would be interested in the subject and so blessed by how I teach it.
So the acronym for Eternal Rhythm Flow is ERF.
The funny thing is that when I was in junior high school, I went to the pet store and bought my first pet, a cute little fluffy hamster. For some odd reason, I named him, Erf. I don't know why. I just thought it sounded funny. And now here we have ERF Ministries. What are the odds? No, it is not so much about my late hamster ... but I do think I may see him again someday and if so, I will tell him that his name was not a joke after all. I think he might be pleased at that. ;)
Funny how the past comes back around again!
